Pencil Village was a pilot program developed for CNBC news. The premise was to create an online news resource center for children. The “Village” concept included several building the children could access and learn from:
- The Schoolhouse: Math and Science
- The Library: Reading and Writing, and History
- The Gymnasium: Exersize Activities
- The Airport: Travel and Geography
- The Space Launchpad: Space and Astronomy
- The General Store: Healthy Foods and Diet
- The News Station: Providing News and Weather information
